New technologies and exciting energy saving and eco-friendly products and services continue to enter the home improvement, construction and landscaping industries. Look for the GREEN FOOT PRINT and GREEN PRODUCT signage identifying our green foot print exhibitors. Ask about the products that are best for you and the environment, including government programs to improve energy efficiency, savings and conservation.
ECO YARD EVALUATION
The Eco Yard Evaluation is a program to help London Homeowners reduce their property's environmental footprint. The goal is to improve the landscapes of London homes using environmentally sustainable methods and provide a healthier environment for our residents, their families and wildlife. By becoming an environmental steward in your neighbourhood, you can set an example for your neighbourhood by improving the natural landscape, lowering costs (water and energy bills) and reducing property maintenance. Your property will be evaluated in six categories - water conservation, natural lawn care, garden care, energy conservation, waste diversion and pollution prevention. For each category we have considered what would be sustainable practices. We have identified those environmentally sustainable activities that you are currently practicing. You will also find a handy list of recommendations for actions you can easily take to make your yard more environmentally friendly along with specific information on how to implement those actions.
